FOX promos spoil just about everything for The O.C. series finale

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

This has definitely hit my radar that FOX ended up spoiling just about everything that seems to be happening in The O.C.’s series finale… what a way to thank fans who have been eagerly anticipating just what would happen. It is one thing to leak spoilers that fans have to go hunting for (like on here!) but quite another when you reveal all just in the promos for the next episode. Ausiello put it best when he was asked for spoilers on the finale.

What if I told you Julie was the one getting hitched? Oh, wait, Fox already gave that away in the promos. What if I told you Kirsten delivers a healthy baby girl? Oh, wait, Fox already gave that away in the promos. What if I told you that Seth and Summer go their separate ways? Oh, wait, Fox already gave that away in the promos. What if I told you that Ryan and Taylor have sex? Oh, wait, Fox already gave that away in the promos. I got nothing.

How annoying. And in case you still need to watch all these spoilers come to life, the series finale is tonight at 9pm on FOX.

There will be a wedding on The O.C.’s season finale

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Michael Ausiello has confirmed that there will be a wedding on the season finale!

Question: Any more scoop about what the series finale of The O.C. will bring?— Caroline
Ausiello: If Autumn Reeser’s dress-fitting wasn’t enough of a clue, lemme come right out and say there will be a wedding!

Too bad the series is ending… however, I have heard a teeny bit of buzz about a possible spinoff? Anyone able to confirm this?

Who does Taylor shoot on The O.C.?

Monday, February 12th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

There are only a couple of episodes left before The O.C. finishes its series. But if you thought the big earthquake was the big thing happening during the ending of the series, Ausiello has revealed another surprise… Taylor shoots someone!

Who does Taylor shoot? Well, spoilsport Ausiello won’t tell us who!

Question: With only three episodes of The O.C. left, we deserve some extra juicy scoop!— Audrey
Ausiello: (Spoiler alert) Taylor is going to shoot someone very close to her.

Wow! Any guesses?

The O.C.’s final episodes are rocked with an earthquake

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

When you live in a high hazard earthquake zone, one way to finish off a series is to destroy all the sets by staging an earthquake. And that is just what is happening on The O.C. with it being the central storyline for the final three episodes of the series.

I was surprised by the way they are finishing it off (what if it does get picked up by another network in the eleventh hour?) but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised considering it is FOX and California ;)

Marriage proposals, pregnancy and coming out on The O.C.

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

To help ease the pain of The O.C. getting cancelled by FOX, here are some new scoops courtesy of Ask Ausiello, and they are all spoilers that will happen this month!

First off… someone is coming out… and I assume he is referring to a closet!

Second, someone is getting knocked up! Yes, one of chicks will be with child this month!

Third, someone is getting two marriage proposals… wonder if the lucky recipient will also be the pregnant one.

The O.C. is officially cancelled by FOX

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

theoccast.jpg

Well, the rumors are true. FOX has cancelled The O.C. with the season finale airing next month. Fans knew its days were numbered, especially since FOX only ordered up 13 episodes this season. While ratings have been fairly good, its fate is now sealed.

The series finale is now set for February 22nd. New episodes after the holiday hiatus start tomorrow night and FOX will show a new episode each week through to the finale.

There is still hope. There is the rumor going around that the C.W. might pick up the O.C. for next season.

Rose Byrne & the OC’s Tate Donovan signs onto Glenn Close FX pilot

Sunday, December 31st, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Tate Donovan has signed on to join Glenn Close in her recently announced F/X pilot. The pilot, which is still untitled, has a few names familiar to the theatre as well… Rose Byrne (Marie Antoinette) and Zeljko Ivanek (Oz; 24).

Bryne will play the central character Ellen Parsons, “a beautiful, self-possessed attorney fresh out of law school who lands her dream job working for Patty Hughes (Close), America’s foremost high-stakes litigator,” the trade mag describes.

Set in New York, the drama will also feature Donovan as “Hughes’ senior legal associate and most trusted adviser,” and Ivanek as “a Southern legal war horse, Hughes’ opposing attorney in a major case that would play out during the show’s first season.”

It is nice to finally see some new details emerge about this new pilot. And I have always enjoyed Tate Donovan back from his Friends days, so this should be one to watch. No word yet as to when this might be premiered, but production on the series is set to begin in February.

Sleeper Cell’s Henri Lubatti playing Taylor’s ex on The O.C.

Friday, December 29th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Sleeper Cell fans will remember Henri Lubatti, who played Ilija Korjenic earlier this year. And hardcore 24 fans will remember his turn as Jovan Myovic on 24 back in 2002. Now Henri Lubatti visits The O.C. where he is playing Talylor’s French ex-husband, who comes to town promoting his, um, book.

Ryan reads between the lines when Taylor’s ex-husband (Henri Lubatti) promotes his risqué novel in Newport; Summer gets a glimpse of married life from her socialite peers, while Seth flies to Seattle in search of Dr. Roberts’ blessing; and Kirsten investigates Julie’s secret business practices.

The episode is called The French Connection and airs on January 11, 2007 on FOX.

The O.C. leaving FOX for the C.W?

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

theoccast.jpg

It wouldn’t be the first time that a series has junmped from one network to another. But one has to wonder what will happen to The O.C. if the rumors are true and FOX dumps the series. While rumors running around the internet say this will be the last season on FOX, there is also the equally persistant rumor that The C.W. will pick up the long-running series.

You could just think a rumor is a rumor. But Michael Ausiello lends credibility to the fact this move could become a reality. When asked if The O.C. would be back for another season, he answered “On Fox? No. On another network like, say, the CW? Maybe.”

So where will this leave the O.C.? It depends. If they move to the new network, most of the current cast would have to stay on in order to keep the continuity - and the fans. However, a low rating show on FOX can equal a high ratings on the C.W., since they lack any super powerhouse hits like FOX already has a closetful of.

We will keep you posted on any news on this.

Will Taylor’s blog on The O.C. turn into an online component for the series?

Sunday, December 10th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

We all got to see that Taylor has a blog - “Erotic Memoirs of a Soulful College Girl” and rumor has it that The O.C. producers are going to actually publish the blog online for fans, written from Taylor’s viewpoint. The O.C. has been struggling to find its footing this season, and this is something that could get fans interested in the series again with something like this, if the rumors are true.

There have been a few tie-ins with online versus offline on various seasons in the past. Nigel on Crossing Jordan has NigelBlog.com, which was mentioned during an episode. Heroes has online graphic novels that expands or extends some of the episodes that have aired. So it is not farfetched at all that Taylor’s blog will end up being something available online.

Time will tell if The O.C. does really pull this off, as rumor has it.
